The Evolution of Squishy: Behind the Mascot
Is Squishy a 10x developer squid capable of debugging legacy code with a single glance? Maybe. But the true story of our mascot’s creation is a little more grounded!
In March 2023, we set out to create a mascot that represented the energy and community of ShipItCon. We partnered with local artist Shelly Mullan (shellz-art.com), who took our ideas and brought Squishy the Code-Shipping Squid into the world in May 2023.
A New Look Every Year
Squishy doesn’t stay static. Every year, we update Squishy’s design to reflect the core theme of that year’s conference. You’ll find these limited-edition Squishies everywhere—from hoodies and caps to sticker packs and stage visuals.
