Pre September, back to school and back to Shipitcon,
something new, some learning to do, round the room
in the Mansion House, From Resilience to the Unknown,
Flow and Change they give a troublesome topic to unpick,
AI they say is the new black, but what of the ethics,
---
Break work small, commit to main, let guarded pipelines zip,
Tests and scans, a green brigade, approve and let it ship.
Infra written as code, reviewed—plan, apply, no brittle scripts,
Policy as code with drift contained by Terraform’s steady grip.
Blue‑green lanes and canary routes, shift traffic in a drip,
Feature flags narrow the blast when early signals dip.
SLIs state the truth we watch, SLOs set the grip,
Error budgets buy the change; when spent, we slow the clip.
Logs, metrics, traces braided tight; GitOps keeps state in sync,
Blameless notes and DORA scores—learn fast, improve, then ship.
---
So here’s to all the DevOps folk who solve the world troubles in a snip,
Come to the Shipitcon, commit, and let it ship.
