ShipItCon brings the tech community together in a way I have rarely experienced, it’s refreshing to hear from, talk to & interact with people who are not just professionals focusing on how they can build & deliver world class software but also emphasise the human aspect of it all which I find is often neglected. Software isn’t just a means to make money, part of it is but how we do that sustainably is something that all corners of the industry faces. The software we build can have a monumental impact on the day to day lives of people, & to see the folks & speakers at ShipItCon highlight topics such as the ethics of software development & how leaders play important roles in shaping culture with empathy, makes me happy & proud to be part of such a community of people.

I’ve been attending ShipItCon for the past two years, and each time it’s been a phenomenal experience. This year I got to volunteer, and it only deepened my appreciation for the community and the event. The energy, the talks, and the people make ShipItCon truly special. I’m already excited for ShipItCon 2026!

ShipItCon 2025 was an incredible experience. The day was packed with insightful talks, engaging conversations, and an overall great atmosphere. What I loved most was how the event offered something for everyone. Whether you were a student like me or a professional in the field, there was plenty to capture your interest. The variety of speakers ensured that people from different backgrounds could find their niche. And the after-party was the perfect finish to  an outstanding event.  I’m already looking forward to the next one! Thomas and his team did an exceptional job organising it.

I’ve been attending ShipItCon for the last few years, and it’s become an unmissable fixture in my conference calendar. Being a single-track event, following a different theme each year (Resilience, The Unknown, Flow, Change), there is no FOMO from parallel sessions and every talk connects to a coherent narrative that makes the whole day feel like a journey rather than a collection of disparate presentations. ShipItCon remains unmatched in its ability to blend technical depth with human insight, all while maintaining the warm, unpretentious atmosphere that makes Ireland's tech scene special.

Pre September, back to school and back to Shipitcon, something new, some learning to do, round the room in the Mansion House, From Resilience to the Unknown, Flow and Change they give a troublesome topic to unpick, AI they say is the new black, but what of the ethics, --- Break work small, commit to main, let guarded pipelines zip, Tests and scans, a green brigade, approve and let it ship. Infra written as code, reviewed—plan, apply, no brittle scripts, Policy as code with drift contained by Terraform’s steady grip. Blue‑green lanes and canary routes, shift traffic in a drip, Feature flags narrow the blast when early signals dip. SLIs state the truth we watch, SLOs set the grip, Error budgets buy the change; when spent, we slow the clip. Logs, metrics, traces braided tight; GitOps keeps state in sync, Blameless notes and DORA scores—learn fast, improve, then ship. --- So here’s to all the DevOps folk who solve the world troubles in a snip, Come to the Shipitcon, commit, and let it ship.

This event holds a special place in my heart. It exemplifies the significance of bridging the gap between tech & non-tech professionals, providing an invaluable platform for learning & growth. Personally, I felt right at home, discovering how tech impacts our lives in various ways. Events like these are crucial to making technology more accessible to everyone, regardless of background. Let's continue championing initiatives like ShipItCon, fostering an environment where tech becomes a welcoming & inclusive domain for all.

I really enjoyed the conference and it was full of great content. They do a great job selecting great speakers that show lots of different aspects of software development. I always learn some things, & seeing what different teams are doing in aspects like on-call, release & monitoring, among other aspects, is always interesting. I definitely recommend going to the next one if you’re interested in these aspects!

I gave a talk about emerging trends in infrastructure and how they have the potential to liberate us from the overworked silos of the past, and I remember having sooooo many amazing conversations at the pub with sooooo many people who were on the same page and excited about the same things. And the venue was GORGEOUS, and the staff was so organised and kind. Definitely one of my fondest conferences!

I've been to many, many tech conferences all over the world, and ShipItCon remains a stand out favorite to me! One of the most memorable keynotes I ever watched was John Romero talk about the creation of Gunman Taco Truck with his wife and son. AND there were tacos afterwards for lunch!! A 10/10 event - would highly recommend ShipItCon to anyone interested in tech!
